Lock snapping is the easiest method of entry through uPVC or composite doors which involves the breaking in half of the lock cylinder and its removal from the door. The market leading Cisa Astral S range resists this form of attack due to its Patented laminated steel snap-resisant core, which is visible from both ends providing a unique visual deterrent. The Cisa BKP bump key device is fitted as standard to prevent entry by bump keys which results in the Astral S achieving BS-Grade 6 & EN1303:2005 certification. Hardened steel inserts resist drill attack, combined with the 10 pin pick resistant mechanism 1.6 million key combinations are available. A key code card is provided with a record of your key details in case of total key loss. The 3 keys provided are reversible for easy operation, with additional keys provided in minutes if required. All sizes between 60mm and 100mm are stocked in either satin brass (SB) or satin nickel (SN) finishes, and can be supplied individually keyed (KD) or keyed alike (KA) for one key convenience.
IMPORTANT: CISA Astral S cylinders should NOT be confused with the other products claiming to of comparable security and quality. After testing these products ourselves, none were found to offer the combination of snap resistance, anti-bump key protection (BKP) and anti-drill protection of the CISA Astral S range. Cylinder Sizing
To find the size you require, simply measure from the centre fixing hole to each end of your existing cylinder as the hole may not be located centrally. By adding these two dimensions together, this should result in the total overall length if measured correctly e.g 35mm + 45mm = 80mm total overall length (Astral S.19)
