An alternative to the popular double cylinder version. The thumbturn cylinder operates exactly the same as the double cylinder version from the outside, but locking and unlocking is via an ergonomic thumbturn fitted on the inside. This is beneficial on doors on fire exit routes, where exit may be required in an emergency. We recommend that the double cylinder version should be installed if the door is glazed, has a letter box installed, or has removable panels to prevent easy entry by a burglar.
